Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment Aditya Thackeray, Shri Rajesh Tope Health Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Amit Deshmukh Cultural Minister and Dr Sunita Dube launch Balloon Festival & Fit Maharashtra at Gateway of India
This World Health Day, MedScapeIndia, in collaboration with Maharashtra’s Health Ministry, launched a Balloon Festival to commemorate the Fit Maharashtra campaign. Sunita Dube, a doctor and MD Radiologist, hosted the festival on the 7th of April in the early morning. This event disseminated a lot more information about the state’s health facilities and how they can be improved for the future.
The Maharashtra government came forward to be a part of this remarkable event, and dignitaries such as Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment for the Government of Maharashtra, Aditya Thackeray, Shri Rajesh Tope, Amit Deshmukh cultural minister, honourable health minister, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and Dr Sunita Dube, MedscapeIndia national committee, doctors from various countries as well wrestlers Sangram Singh, other doctors from across the state, were present.
The event began with the release of tricolour balloons into the air and a pledge to improve healthcare facilities not only in the state but across the country. Fit Maharashtra Think Tank council is formed to support the campaign, 2-year agenda was rolled out briefly.
Dr Sunita Dube, who spearheaded the Fit Maharashtra initiative, also expressed her thoughts, saying, “This is another opportunity to prepare for future situations; it is critical to view health and wellness as a routine rather than an option. This World Health Day, let us take an oath to improve ourselves not only in terms of technology but also in terms of health and wellness, we will also look forward to determining a better Healthcare infrastructure in future “, Fit Maharashtra is also inspired by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharajas lifestyle for well being.
Aditya Thackeray, Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment for the Government of Maharashtra, was present at the event and shared his thoughts on the start of Fit Maharashtra, saying, “We must draw inspiration from our forefathers who lived disciplined lives by adhering to a strict health regimen. We must also be aware of our own health and wellness and how they must be cared for. After the Pandemic, this is our second chance to make the most of it, and I hope we can fight any similar situations with equal zeal”. Extremely happy today as the entire Maharashtra including 34 Districts released the Balloons together to express the collective consciousness to inspire the Health of people.
Health Minister Shri Rajesh Tope said we have seen that only the fittest survive, whether in health or in any other field; The key to survival is to maintain a healthy mindset as well as a healthy immune system.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar went on to say, “We saw how dangerous the situation was during covid. So, with this initiative, we will not only motivate people to exercise, but we will also investigate medical infrastructure and facilities”.
Wrestler Sangram Singh also expressed his thoughts, saying, “Fitness does not only mean exercising, but it also means eating healthy and having a healthy mind.”This event was followed by a demonstration of CPR training provided by current doctors as well as other helpful suggestions to improve the quality of healthcare services provided by the system.
Dr Pradeep Vyas Health Secretary, Health commissioner Dr Ramaswami, health director Dr Tyade, Director Padmaja and the entire health ministry enthusiastically supported the Fit Maharashtra campaign, Pledge was taken by all the dignitaries from MedscapeIndia across the state and Health ministry.
